As part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement, we recently volunteered at the St Peter & St James Hospice distribution centre, in West Sussex, supporting the operational work that sustains its charitable services.
The hospice relies on income generated through its network of charity shops, with all donated items processed through the distribution centre before reaching the shop floor. We worked alongside the hospice team to sort, organise, and prepare stock, helping to improve efficiency and ensure donations are processed quickly and effectively.
Through this work, we contributed directly to maintaining a reliable funding stream that enables the hospice to deliver specialist care and support to patients and families across the region.
The volunteering day also provided a valuable opportunity for colleagues to collaborate outside their usual roles, strengthening relationships while contributing to a shared social purpose. Feedback from participants highlighted the benefits of combining practical support with professional development and wellbeing.
We are proud to support organisations that play such a vital role in local communities and look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
